Why we built a three-in-one company
Every Bay Area property story crosses three industries. You buy a house (agent), you finance it (lender), you fix it (contractor) — or you permit an ADU, build it, and rent it. Yet the industries barely talk to each other: agents guess at renovation costs, lenders misread construction budgets, contractors build without a thought for resale value. Every hand-off loses information, time, and money. The client pays for all of it.
BARC exists to delete the hand-offs. Our agents walk listings with builders. Our loan structuring starts from real construction bids. Our crews build with the after-renovation appraisal in mind, because the people who'll defend that appraisal work down the hall. The result is the thing this market almost never offers: one team, one number, one name on the accountability line.
Founder Dan You built the firm on jobsites and at closing tables in equal measure — and the company still runs that way: estimates priced by people who build, listings advised by people who renovate, loans structured by people who've read a draw schedule.

BARC is based in Sunnyvale and serves the greater Silicon Valley — San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Palo Alto, and beyond. Most consultations happen at your property or by phone and video.

Yes — California CSLB general contractor license, DRE real-estate licensing, and NMLS loan-origination credentials, with liability insurance and workers' compensation on every project. License numbers appear in our footer and on every proposal.
Do you speak languages other than English?+
